Director of Public Safety
The Director of Public Safety serves as the chief law enforcement officer for the campus, and has overall responsibility for budget, human resource management, and priority setting for campus security. A significant responsibility for this individual, in conjunction with other campus officials, is helping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. The Director will be responsible for advising the campus on short- and long-range emergency plans and priorities, and developing and directing security for the campus. This includes aspects of public safety such as technology, traffic and security. The Director shall have the ability to lead a highly professional police service staff and an understanding of the unique role that security services play in a complex and diverse university environment. Public safety responsibilities have been organized around a philosophy of community-based service. This is accomplished by building relationships throughout the University and local communities and through a strong commitment to campus outreach and educational programs. An important qualification will be demonstrated experience and sensitivity in dealing with college or university students, faculty and staff representing many cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. The successful candidate will serve as the liaison with local, state and federal public safety organizations. Requirements include a master’s degree in public administration, criminal justice or a related field; at least ten years of related professional experience in public or higher education; substantial public safety related responsibilities; demonstrated experience in a community-based public safety environment; and excellent communication and management skills. This is a full-time twelve-month academic professional position. Salary is open and is dependent on qualifications and experience. The position is available as soon as possible after closing date. Vice President, Facilities Management and Capital Planning
The Vice President will oversee the management of Quinnipiac’s facilities and grounds, encompassing 618 acres and three million square feet of space, and will lead nearly 160 facilities professionals across: Custodial; Buildings Maintenance; Grounds Maintenance; Mechanical Services & Utilities. He/She will play a major role assisting University leaders to plan and construct new multi-million-dollar facilities and renovate existing buildings. The successful candidate will have significant and progressively senior-level operations and leadership experience in facilities management. Ideal candidates will possess a mix of experience overseeing various types of large, complex facilities, including administrative, academic, residential, athletic, medical, etc. Must understand the goals, objectives, structure and operations of a major institution, preferably a large, complex academic institution or other complex, multi-dimensional organization. An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution; an advanced degree is desirable. He/She will have substantial capital project management expertise in terms of new construction and renovation of existing structures; solid understanding of architectural designs and their practicality/feasibility. A proven ability to foster strong relationships across many internal and external constituents and groups, from professors, deans, Board members and donors – to city employees, architects, contractors, community leaders and beyond is required. The successful candidate will also have a strong working knowledge of various technical and mechanical equipment and related utilities and energy sources and have led professionals who work in these diverse areas and fields. Director of Communications and Community Engagement
The Director is a vital member of the MCA’s senior leadership team and is responsible for positioning the MCA as a locally indispensable and globally renowned contemporary art institution. The Director of CCE shall play a leadership role in translating the institution’s new vision to be artist activated and audience engaged into clearly articulated communications and audience engagement strategies in order to communicate consistent messages, increase the MCA’s visibility, broaden audience, and improve visitor experience. At least 7 to 10 years of senior managerial experience in the field of marketing and communications is required. Also essential is: a demonstrated ability to conceive and execute short- and long-term strategic communication plans; strong management, creative, analytical financial and interpersonal skills; concrete brand development experience; outstanding oral and written communication skills; and strong team-building, motivating and consensus-building skills. Must have the ability to oversee and evaluate digital marketing, online and mobile advertising and social media initiatives. Must have demonstrated success with marketing and communication strategies designed to increase attendance and revenues. An undergraduate degree is required.
